Sam Bradford

Two notes:

1) Sooner content drives huge traffic on NewsOK. So does OSU, breaking news and weather. But the Sooners typically pull large page views and video views.

And they drive large amounts of comments from Sooner fans. Check out this comment from today's OU Red White game.

John from Destin notes "The only TD by the first offense was called by a fan....that inspires confidence...."

Here's what John (from Destin) is referring to:

The Sooners' first-team offense scored its only touchdown on a 51-yard pass from Bradford to tight end Jermaine Gresham on a play called by fan Shae Farmer, who got the chance to call a series of plays by with the winning bid of $2,900 in an auction benefiting the athletic department.

2) See for yourself. Watch Damon Fontenot's video from Norman.

"Dominique Franks and the Sooners defense grab six interceptions and return three for touchdowns in Saturday's spring finale."

Damon Fontenot will file a video report from Norman later today as the Red-White game will attract thousands.

As always, The Oklahoman has done a fine job today of breaking down the spring football “season” and looking at what we’ve learned.

As always, the QB position had attracted attention.

Jake Trotter reports: “Joey Halzle is the No. 2 quarterback: Keith Nichol and Landry Jones get talked about the most, but Halzle is clearly OU’s second-best quarterback at the moment, behind starter Sam Bradford. Nichol and Jones will get their chances in future seasons, but for now, Halzle is the No. 2.”

Meanwhile Malcolm Kelly dominated the NewsOK page views and video video views this week with his ranting after a less than expected Pro Day workout.

Then he apologized. That’s usually a good move following a rant.

Check out the comments on the Sooners articles. Good feedback with the expected fan banter. Most of the readers see the Kelly apology as an agent’s move.

Things are going well at Remington Park. 1.3 million visitors last year. up 11 percent this year. Slot machine revenue is at $240 per machine daily. The Oklahoman's Steve Lackmeyer has a good story in today's business section about the Adventure District in Oklahoma City. Did you know the Oklahoma City Zoo has topped 800,000 visitors this year?

My friends in the multimedia and sports departments here at OPUBCO have created a cool interactive break down of OU quarterback Sam Bradford. Yes, piece by piece. Blake Jackson spoke with OU quarterback coach Josh Heupel about Bradford. Check that out on the sports page.

The Oklahoman provided NewsOK.com with some breaking news you can use this afternoon. OU names its starting QB for the upcoming season.

Sam Bradford. No surprise really.

We already had our cameras ready for today's The Ladies Room shoot. So we broke it down, set up the cam in the studio and quickly taped a 30 second video update. Most viewed video on NewsOK today.

All people need is the short and sweet, not the 15 minute, 2 gb, cinematic epic.

We'll save that for tomorrow.
