Boone Pickens said Tuesday that his hedge fund has nearly doubled his $165 million gift to Oklahoma State University’s athletic department. And, Pickens will make a historic gift to academics at Oklahoma State University today. Big week so far
On Sunday we had storms, with houses damaged in north OKC and Edmond.
Monday, OSU announced Sean Sutton’s resignation.
What will Tuesday bring?
Burns Hargis hired, students react?
OSU named Burns Hargis as its new president. I went to OSU-OKC to gauge students’ reaction to the hire.
Now, OSU-OKC is a satellite campus, so to me it’s not a true reaction of students. Most of the students had no idea who Burns Hargis was, or that OSU had named a new president. Truth is, it doesn’t affect them like it would a 4 year college student living on campus where OSU becomes a part of their life and a part of their family.
Also, the OSU-OKC security detained me and my crew while we were on campus. Everyone was really nice. And it got us in from the cold wind.
