Downtown OKC’s Starlight Supper: Raising funds for Emerson Alternative School

I first caught wind of this event from Steve Lackmeyer’s blog, then proceeded to contact Gentry McKeown about access to cover the event. A wonderful night to attend an outdoor event – it had been freezing with ice and other horrors just two days prior. Downtown OKC posted on its Twitter account that over $10,000 was raised, proceeds go towards Emerson Alternative School. Pretty encouraging to see events like this downtown and the response from citizens to attend and contribute.

Timelapse over Civic Center

I interviewed Andrew Rice for an upcoming video about Downtown OKC Inc’s Starlight Supper, and shot b-roll from the event tonight. While on the ground of Bicentennial Park beneath the shadows of the Civic Center, I left my GoPro Hero 2 inside my Jeep shooting images every 15 seconds. The above video is the resulting time lapse. Honestly, I’m not that impressed by the results. I’ve had much better results in Miami and Key West. Seems like it was too dark and not in focus, odd for the GoPro. It was worth a shot.

Strikeouts and Cadillacs

Letterman vs. Lohan

I was watching the Laker game on NBA TV last night while the wind swirled outside. Apparently David Letterman’s interview with Lindsay Lohan went something like this, see above for clips.

Stoops talks quarterbacks

I’ve asked reporters to do more of this, simply record a couple questions on camera. Use your iPhone or whatever device you may have with you. The best camera is the one you have with you, right? Decent audio and video of Bob Stoops answering Berry Tramel’s questions. Nice work Berry for shooting, reporting and uploading.

Zombies, catfish and The Lost Ogle

We’re told to take weather precautions. For tornadoes and winter weather. Why not be prepared for zombies too?
