Indiana Jones private OKC screening/watch the trailer

The Oklahoman’s Carrie Coppernoll first reported today:

“A private screening of the new movie “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” will be May 18 for select benefactors of The Children’s Center, a nonprofit hospital for children with complicated medical problems. The movie will make its public debut May 22.”

So…. cue the music, here we go…

John Porter press conference

John Porter, OKC’s suspended with pay School Superintendent, held a brief and quickly put together press conference tonight at 6. Local media gathered in mass at the Waterford Marriott.

We caught word barely more than a hour half and scrambled a crew. Thanks to reporter, photographer, online and video cooperation, we put together a quick wrap of what Porter said. We used audio from a reporter who covered Porter’s speech. Photographs in the video to support the audio. And I taped a quick standup from the vacated press room.

Here’s the deal, it made for a long day. I spent four hours laying down a score for The Children’s Center corporate video OPUBCO Communications is doing. John Waterman did an excellent job with a compelling video. I added some piano beneath it.

Then the Porter presser.

Then sand. Angi and I covered the Hot Winter Nights tour, opening at the Ford Center tonight. Kyle Roberts was eating it up. Good looking people having fun. And the volleyball players were some of the cooler athletes I’ve interviewed. They geniunely seemed to be having fun.

Of course they did have sand between their toes. In January.
