Thunder Row VII
I stopped by the above bike rally on Sunday. Full-on sunlight, dust and wind for the entire shoot. Most of this video was shot at ISO 100 and cranked up to 22 often. Didn’t have any ND filters with me. The FCP export didn’t look as washed out as the version running through Brightcove. Not sure why.
Everyone I spoke with was super friendly. I arrived at a dead part of the day, most of the riders were out on the poker run. I think I saw the winner received $1500, so it was a pretty good payout.
There were two Hooters girls over in the dunk tank who couldn’t understand who I was shooting for. They kept shouting “hey camera guy.” At least the weather was warm enough for them. But they didn’t make the video.
Table One: Sushi class
I attended Ryan Parrott’s Table One experience last night at 611 Creative. Unlike the previous Table One that I had attended, this was more of a class with a tasting than a sit down dinner.
Ryan-san assisted sushi guru Jonathon Crell as they prepared 6-7 courses complete with explanation of how to slice, dice and consume each item. Much like wine and beer, the more I learn about sushi, the less I know.
No chopsticks were used in the shooting of the above video. Just a Vado.
