“Growth” by Marcus Eakers

Earlier this summer while shooting a Taco Tuesday funeral at Iguana Mexican Grill, I had a conversation with Marcus Eakers about his artwork. He showed me his colorful works on his iPhone. At the time I remember telling him when he had an exhibit I would produce a video.

Eakers’ “Growth” exhibit is on display through November at the always cool DNA Galleries on NW 16 in the Plaza District. The exhibit features 20 pieces, all acrylic on mixed media, and measuring 12 inches square.
My take: this is art that I like. It’s colorful and fun. The “Beer Goggles” piece is very cool. In fact it cracked me up. I hope this video does Eakers’ talent justice.
