News Video on Twitter to Expand as Brightcove Completes Implementation
From Beet.TV: “With last month’s launch of the new Twitter Web page, selected beta users have been able to embed videos from YouTube and Vimeo. Now, Brightcove has been authorized by Twitter to have its videos embedded.”
Brightcove is the video service used by OPUBCO and many big publishers including the New York Times, The Guardian, Time, USA Today, The Financial Times and the Washington Post.
We’ve used Brightcove since our launch into video in 2007 and generally I’m a big fan of their service. But I’m a huge fan of their continual innovation with online video. They quickly decided user/viral/silly videos wasn’t their business model, scrapped the community upload biz, and focused on developing a strong video serving platform for the B2B crowd.
I think we’ll see more news videos on Twitter soon as a result of YouTube, Brightcove, Vimeo, etc., becoming more easily sharable across social media.

From Paris to OKC: Executive chef Robert Black is headed to France
Click here for the mobile version of the above video.
Had the opportunity to interview Robert Black, executive chef and partner of A Good Egg Dining Group, a couple of weeks ago. We caught up with the busy chef at the Iron Starr Norman location.
Black is headed to France tomorrow and will chef at an exhibit there Sunday-Thursday. We have provided him with an iPod Touch to shoot video and blog while on his trip.
We hope to include some Skype interviews, carve up some fancy French video (whatever that might be) and enjoy his posts from Paris over the next few days. Should be a great event for Chef Black and some compelling content for all of us here in the 405.
