The place smelled incredible.

I’ve never been less hungry.

The above video is a quick edit on Saturday’s Cochon555 event in Stillwater: 5 pigs, 5 chefs, 5 wines.

5 kinds of inspired cheffing.

And I’ve never wanted food less.

You see, the video I haven’t posted is the pig you see stretched out within this video. The one with the eyes stabbed out.

That poor porker faced a worse fate: knives, hacksaw… you get the picture. Actually you don’t because I haven’t posted it: the part where the head is cut off. It was later paraded around, after the auction.

I shot this video with a hand-held Sony HVR A1U. My kit didn’t have the right tripod plate – stupid mistake lesson: never get to a shoot without checking all of your equipment, including plates, mic sensitivity levels and batteries. Maybe even tape stock. So the finished video fared far worse than I hoped.

But I think it still tells the story minus the aroma.
