Tornado oddity: Toilet paper unwinds, rewinds
Now here’s an odd story out of Minnesota.
HUGO, Minn. – As residents in Hugo begin to move on from last week’s tornado, some say they noticed a few bizarre things amid all the damage. Jason Akins said the twister unwound a roll of toilet paper in his bathroom — draped it across the countertop, then rewound it in the sink. The toilet paper didn’t even rip.
Hmmm… meanwhile:
Terry Clarkin said the Hugo tornado stuck four steak knives in the yard — and they landed in a perfect square, with the blades in the dirt about three inches.
OKC traffic cams
At first glance, this seems really cool. And about time. Official traffic web cams for OKC. Except they are static images instead of live, streaming cars and trucks going fast down the highway.
But hey, this is a start. And I’m all for it. I think the best weather coverage on TV sometimes is a live stream of the guy driving down the street.
I remember when NewsOK, or Oklahoman.com, had the Koala Cam at the OKC Zoo. Little guys never moved.
