Indiana Jones private OKC screening/watch the trailer

The Oklahoman’s Carrie Coppernoll first reported today:

“A private screening of the new movie “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” will be May 18 for select benefactors of The Children’s Center, a nonprofit hospital for children with complicated medical problems. The movie will make its public debut May 22.”

So…. cue the music, here we go…


Video of man trapped in elevator; his comments

So yesterday one of the big stories was how this nearly decade old video of a man trapped in a NY elevator was an Internet sensation. It’s everywhere, from YouTube to the New Yorker, which had the original scoop I suppose.

Here is the footage, then below is Nicholas White’s interview about spending 41 hours in an elevator. Those bells would drive you nuts.


Airport update

The Transportation Security Administration had to re-screen nearly 700 travelers Monday because of a security breach at Will Rogers World Airport. The security breach was caused when someone found what was thought to be a prohibited item in a restroom.

The Festival of the Arts opens today in downtown Oklahoma City. Here are the facts: the 42nd annual Arts Festival it opens daily at 11 am and runs through Sunday, featuring 144 artists and more than 300 performing artists.

Darnell Mayberry reports it you log onto SuperSonics.com, the official site of the team, you’ll see the word Seattle is nowhere to be found inside the actual Web page. Team officials, however, said the Seattle references were omitted on Feb. 28, when the site was relaunched to introduce a new design.
