Another video from Paige Dillard and Tanner Herriott. Great content, footage, audio, video… really good example of long form video.

Must see video: Portwood Williams Sr.

Paige Dillard and Tanner Herriott teamed up on this fascinating interview with Portwood Williams Sr.

We shot the video for Black History month. Portwood participated with Clara Luper in the sit-in at Katz in Oklahoma City.

Check him out. He’s in his 90′s, but clearly retains that fire, that spirit. The ending is powerful as he talks about respect. Great stuff.

Paige edited, Tanner shot.

Success from DC

Check it out. Mark Green filed from DC this morning. Our first successful post from the newly minted DC video bureau set. Makes me proud.

It’s the little things, huh?

Sooners win on dramatic shot

NewsOK.tv’s Damon Fontenot was in Norman last night for OU’s big win over Baylor. The Sooners again hit a dramatic 3-pointer late to win.

Check out Damon’s video. It’s great stuff.

Last day on the Hill

Tuesday was a busy day for the OPUBCO crew on Capitol Hill.

Jones, Horton and I finished trouble-shooting our gear, tweaking the settings and going through test drives of the new Washington DC video set. Jones and I wrote training documents for our boys Chris Casteel and Mark Green.

Would you believe you can’t find a printer in DC? Two Fedex/Kinkos did not have printers for our thumbdrives to print the documents. It’s always the little things that are the most frustrating setbacks.

We joined Ed Kelley for a tour of the Washington Post Interactive. I met up with old friend Matt Havercamp at WPI as we picked their brains about newspaper video. More on this visit in a future blog.

Back at the National Press Building, both Mark and Chris taped debriefs for this weekend with Ed. Both seemed comfortable running through the processes of setting up the set and going on camera.
