Quality Jobs payments totaled $61.7 million in FY 2011, according to Tax Commission

The Legislature’s Task Force on Tax Credits and Economic Incentives is holding another session today. This morning, it studied the Investment/New Jobs tax credit. This afternoon, it’s Quality Jobs.

Here’s some updated Quality Jobs totals through the 2011 fiscal year, via the Oklahoma Tax Commission:

Also, I pulled the company totals from FY 2007 to FY 2011. Below is a quick chart on the Quality Jobs recipients. Some companies have renewed and used the rebates under a different legal name, but I’ve tried to consolidate the names as best I could.

Great job, Paul. Any idea how many jobs that $80 mil is responsible for?

Thanks, Reggie. There is not an accurate way to detail it from the Tax Commission data. Each company signs a contract with the Commerce Department detailing how many jobs they *expect* to create. If you knew the average payroll amount for each job, you could maybe back out the percentage of the payroll the company is getting in rebates, but that’s not possible with what’s provided in the annual Tax Commission reports.

Not a good time to be cutting any taxes!
It’s the Tea Party to protest their own survival!

I have read a few just right stuff here. Definitely worth bookmarking for revisiting. I wonder how so much effort you put to create this sort of wonderful informative website.

wow big corporations get them small business does not. pretty clear where the majority of this welfare goes.

Here’s a thought…if we want to create jobs, why don’t the state govn’t stop creating new taxes and fees to stick us with. Then we could focus a little on growing instead of just earning enough to keep paying out to OK City.

The latest is a real gem. The Corporation Commission has decided to pass a $50 million increase in the OK Universal Service Fund, basically in secret and on Tuesday with almost no notice whatsoever. They must be stopped! For those who don’t know, the Service Fund is a subsidy on landlines. But never mind the ridiculous policy side of this (it’s bad!), consider that they’re passing that big a new tax on us when we don’t even know its an issue. What happened to democratic transparency? And these are all Republicans who pledged not to raise our taxes.

I smell the involvement of special interests. You?

Super site! I will defently bookmark it!!!
