Dangerous intersections in Oklahoma City

My colleague Johnny Johnson has a wrap-up today of the most dangerous intersections worked by Oklahoma City police in 2009. For most Oklahoma City drivers, the top 10 locations won’t be much of a surprise. For example, I avoid the Quail Springs Mall area as much as I can, especially during the holiday season.

I plotted the top locations on a Google Map, which you can see by going to our Right to Know page.

Some of these intersections actually surprise me. Memorial and Penn is a no-brainer (and that’s how people tend to drive through there, but I digress) but 23rd and Meridian? I am curious as to what makes that one so hard to navigate…

This is nice but you missed the entire stretch of highway 177 from Stillwater to Ponca City. How many fatal accidents happen there every year?

Willay, this was just accidents in Oklahoma City.

You have got a way of writing compelling data that sparks a lot interest.
