Check out the U.S. Debt Clock
Here’s something I came across this morning that might truly depress you (and your grandkids, whether they’ve been born or not).
The U.S. Debt Clock, a real-time counter of debt, taxes and other economic indicators.
Now, you might want to take this with a grain of salt, because they don’t reveal their sources, but it’s a fun thing to look at.
The U.S. Treasury releases its own debt figures, “down to the penny,” here.
If you want a good visualization of federal government spending (with sources), then slide on over here to the Wall Stats site. Their “Death & Taxes 2009” poster is simply amazing.

That is an amazing amount of money for the normal US citizen, and the clock is not going to stop, it tends to be bigger and bigger, i know the actual amount of money a US citizen owes, i once made a flash clock with the ability to count up according to some variables my client gave me.
But fear not, an US citizen does not have huge debts to pay, if you inform yourself as in other countries, you would be completely amazed about how much money certain citizens of certain countries owe.
In the end, that means that very country owes money, the tax payers are the ones that are going to pay, and richest countries will survive nevertheless unlike the poor countries outside USA and CE (European Community) which will soon become more poor then ever, that will cause countries like Greece and others alike to give up their country rights and start to get governed by other rich countries, that is in sum what happened to Greece.
