Oklahoma cities line up for stimulus funds
As the size of President-elect Barack Obama’s proposed economic stimulus plan continues to grow, Oklahoma cities have submitted more than $1.2 billion in projects they deem worthy of funding.
The December report from the U.S. Conference of Mayors shows eight cities across Oklahoma with projects ready to go. Here’s a few totals from the group’s Main Street Stimulus site and the number of jobs each city expects to create:

Meanwhile, in the last week, it looks like Tulsa has expanded its request to more than $923 million. The Tulsa World has an updated list here (PDF).

The line between news and entertainment has officially been blurred beyond all recognition. Its a soft tyranny. How badly accuracy will suffer remains to be seen.
Not to mention the nearly $9 million ODOT has agreed to pay contractors to ‘fast track’ design and engineering for highway projects the department hopes the stimulus money will pay for. Hope so, cause the department will be out of federal highway funds if Obama administration doesn’t come through.
