Another birthday, still no resolution
Alan Pennington contacted us today.
His sisters, Cheryl Genzer and Lisa Pennington, went missing after attending the Oklahoma State Fair on Sept. 23, 1987. They were later found dead.
More than 20 years have elapsed, and still no one has been convicted of killing them.
Today, May 20th, is a poignant day for the sisters’ friends and family.
“Cheryl … would have been 46 today,” her brother, Alan Pennington, said in an e-mail. “Please say a prayer for them both.”
Our thoughts are with the Pennington family today. We hope you’ll take a moment to wish them well, too.
The sisters were featured in a Cold Case OKC story in September 2007. I’ll repost the story so anyone who missed it can check it out.

If you know who did it and those involved, why not give the girls’ family some resolution before they die? Wouldn’t you want the same?
There is a man is prison in WA. He and his girlfriend traveled from cost to cost in that time frame. She says he killed 2 girls in Oklahoma. 1 in NV. 3 in CA. Was he the one that killed these 2 girls? Or was it another 2 girls he killed? One thing for sure is, he did kill 2 girls in Oklahoma, But, WHO?
Lane Henley killed the girls. He knows it and there are several other people that know it as well.
