The next case to be featured on Cold Case OKC is the disappearance of two young girls in 1967. One, Brenda White, was later found buried in a shallow grave. The other, Judith Elwell, has never turned up.

If you have information about this case, knew the girls or helped in the search for them, please contact us at coldcase@oklahoman.com.

I remember several women being killed in the N.E. side of town near the hospital. These women were native american or of hispanic decent. I recall they were found in abandoned builings. I haven’t heard or read anything about these cases in years. Have they been solved?

Ruth,

I’m not familiar with those cases. Do you have any other information on them that might help me check on this? Even the approximate year would be helpful.

Ken

wow! good site. I hope it gets some cold cases red hot and solved.

do you just concentrate on OKC cold cases? are you interested in cold cases in Oklahoma?

At the moment, we’re mainly focusing our efforts on metro Oklahoma City cases. But we’d love to hear about cases from anywhere in the state. Our goal is to get as much information out there as we can so that, hopefully, some of these cases will be solved.

Please have the Ruzicka case coming soon…..

I remember these girls going missing. I was in elem. school myself and had an incident happen to me. When was the White girl found? Was it right away or sometime after? Was it in the Choctaw or Harrah area she was found?

Details will be revealed Sunday, but it’s not giving anything away to tell you that Brenda was found months later near Harrah.

I remember some yrs ago when channel 4 was reinacting the Orbach deal and some others. There was a guy stabbed to death in his Edmond home and the killer raped his girlfriend. Years later, they thought they had the case solved, but the girlfriend who had moved out of state was afraid to testify or DNA did not match or something like that. Did that case ever get solved?

Please feature the Girl Scout murders that happened in Locust Grove. There are a great many people that would be interested in sharing information.

For more information on the Girl Scout killings, please keep reading and check out The Oklahoman’s archives. Staff writer Ron Jackson wrote a pair of excellent stories on the case, which ran June 10 and June 17. His editor tells me Ron has more stories planned in the near future, including an update on the DNA evidence.

Is there any new evidence that ties the man who was tried, but found innocent of the Girl Scout murders? Is the case still open?

I remember that the women had been cut by a scalpel or something similar and where it was in the medical district they talked about maybe the person involved worked at one of the hospital. I’ am my forties so this was around 20 years ago.

More information on the Girl Scout case is coming soon.

Keep checking the Cold Case OKC site.
