Reporter Zeke Campfield is looking for Oklahoma City Thunder fans in Cleveland and Miami Heat fans in Seattle for a weekend story he’s writing. If you know of anyone who might be a good fit for the piece, email him at email@example.com.
A story ran in The Oklahoman today about Metro Transit officials discussing route safety and growth. I worked on the story for awhile and even had a chance to ride a bus with passengers for an hour. Here’s what all we got into:
Shortly before we left the downtown station, I found a seat and started talking to some of the people around me. We talked about safety, occupations, life ambitions and even the OKC Thunder. The people were friendly and kept me laughing the entire trip.
Editors Rick and Nick talk about the stories you’re going to want to follow this week.
Reporter Silas Allen is looking for people to talk to about hazing on a college campus. If you know someone who might have some insight, send him an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In a previous post, I asked readers to send me suggestions on haunted houses to visit in Oklahoma City. Here’s a clip of one attraction I visited with NewsOK videographer Grayson Cook Tuesday.

NewsOK breaking news reporters are responsible for a lot more than just on-spot news. We also contribute to weekend content by writing longer pieces on various issues and events.
Since Halloween is right around the corner, I’m working on a story about haunted houses and what goes into bringing them to life. I’d like to chat with volunteers and workers about the design of houses and costumes and makeup.
But to do this, I need some recommendations of the scariest haunted houses in Oklahoma City. Send me an email at email@example.com or comment below. Also, if you know someone who works in a haunted house or attends several every year, let me know. I’d like to talk to them.
