“The rapid movement of very warm, moist air from northeast Texas into central Oklahoma provided the fuel to start these storms,” Mike Foster of the National Weather’s Service’s Norman Forecast Office said looking back on the day.

In checking with those making calls from the NWS Norman forecast office, most hail reports have been about quarter size. There have been some golf ball. The largest they’ve received is baseball size.
