The 31-year old captured 71 percent of the vote against former Bethany Mayor J.D. Johnston, 67.

Maughan will face Democrat Jim Dickinson, 48, in the general election.

]]> Brian Maughan continues to put up overwhelming numbers over J.D. Johnston in the Republican runoff for the Oklahoma County District 2 commissioner seat.

Maughan nearly won the nomination in the primary and appears well on his way to facing off with Democrat Jim Dickinson in November’s general election. With 70 of 94 precincts reporting, Maughan has 2,655 votes to Johnston’s 1,113.
