deadCenter Film Festival breakdown
The bright lights of the big screen, often associated with the far, far away land of Hollywood are right in your own backyard this weekend as the deadCenter Film Festival really get’s going starting Friday.
The Oklahoman will fulfill all your needs for reviews of films and profiles on directors and actors over on the Static Blog.
This year’s festival is filled with tons of great flicks; from the Documentary on Bob Marley, ‘Marley’, to the new indie dramedy ‘Take This Waltz’ starring Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen and Sarah Silverman.
DeadCenter, of course, features a fantastic selection this year of homegrown films such as ‘The Dome of Heaven ,’ and ‘Just Crazy Enough‘ starring Chris Kattan and former NBA star Desmond Mason.
Make sure to check out deadCenter‘s website for times and locations of all 100 + movies.
Transit of Venus at Science Museum Oklahoma
Get your No. 14 welders goggles ready, today at 5:05 p.m. Venus will become visible as a small, black dot as its orbit takes it in front of the sun.
Scientists say Earth won’t be in a position to see the ‘Transit of Venus’ again until the year 2125; so this is truly a once in a lifetime chance.
The Oklahoma City Astronomy club is hosting a live viewing at Science Museum Oklahoma for those wanting to see this cosmic event. For more information; check out my story at newsok.com.
For those wanting even more information; I will be live tweeting the event from my account, @Adam_WK
Happy viewing!
