Teen from Beggs dies in rollover accident Friday

A 19 year old man died Friday after a rollover accident in Okmulgee County involving three teenagers from Beggs, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

The 18-year-old driver of the pickup, Edward Parker, was traveling northbound on County Road North 160 near Creager Road when the vehicle crossed over the center median, left the roadway and rolled once at about 4:55 p.m. A passenger, Seth Willson, was ejected and died at the scene, troopers said. The driver and a second passenger, Chelsie Smothermon, 18, were taken to St. John Hospital in Sapulpa, treated and released with minor injuries.
