Man beaten outside of night club dies, Oklahoma City Police investigating as homicide

A man beaten outside of an Oklahoma City night club died Tuesday of his injuries in Colorado, police said.

Oklahoma City police are treating the Daniel Maxedon’s death as the 15th homicide of 2012. He was found lying on the ground, bleeding from the mouth about 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 27.

Police were called to the area and found three victims. Two suffered minor injuries. Maxedon, 25, of Colorado Springs, Colo. was found in critical condition and taken to the hospital.

He remained in critical condition until he died, Oklahoma Police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said Wednesday.

Investigators said an altercation occurred between the victims and five other men. Police have no descriptions of the men involved in the fight except that they were believed to be Hispanic.

Police think someone has information that could lead to an arrest since the assault occurred during a busy time of morning when businesses might have been closing for the night. The three men they are seeking are seen on surveillance video walking in the area at that time.

Police are still seeking information on the beating. Individuals are asked to the call Crime Stoppers at 235-7300. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.

I guess I will be moving okc to do what the police should have already done.

I find it interesting amd disgusting that the police have made no arrests at this point in time involving this case, it was not a gang related thing. Daniel was not in a gang, he held a decent job, was a very responsible person and this should have been investigated just as much as the cop that was attacked and paralyzed. He is still alive, Daniel is dead and these people are killers walking the streets of okc. Get with it, arrest someone like you did days later of the cop that got beat up. You have witnesses, yes or no? We are people too!

I find it disgusting, that the killers are still walking the streets of this town. I am seriously considering getting a gun permit and carrying for me and my families’ safety. These clowns are going to jump the wrong people and it won’t be pretty. Are we living in Dodge City now? There was arrests just days after the cop that got beat up downtown, why wasn’t this investigated just as much?
This wasn’t a gang fighting another gang, Daniel was not in aa gang, he held a decent job and was a very responsible person that didn’t deserve this to happen to him. Somenone knows something and should step up and do the right thing. OKC police, get this solved,it’s about time, now it’s murder.

Thank you for this interesting article. I have book marked this site because
I really hope you write more articles soon, I plan to share this.

I’m saddened but NOT surprised. The Police Department sure takes care of their own but a Veteran is obviously not as important to them. The Police offices I SEE downtown are checking out drunk girls ALOT.
