Del City firefighters working to extinguish cooking fire at child care center

Del City firefighters were called to Over the Rainbow Child Center at 3106 SE 15 Tuesday on a smoke investigation. Officials said the smoke was caused by a cooking fire and residual smoke had spread to the attic when firefighters arrived.

All of the children have been removed, accounted for and did not receive any injuries due to the smoke, firefighters said.
