DEL CITY — A drive-by shooting Wednesday has left one victim conscious but with severe injuries, police Capt. Jody Suit said.

Police and emergency responders received a call about 4:15 p.m. regarding a shooting in the 3200 block of Dentwood Terrace, near the intersection of Dentwood and Short Lane, Suit said.

Witnesses said three males were in a green Chevy Caprice when they pulled up next to the victims’ vehicle, Suit said.

There was “some kind of altercation,” Suit said, and shots were fired into the victims’ car, which held three people.

Suit said he would release more details on the incident and the victim as information becomes available.
