Late results
California did indeed come in for Hillary Clinton and John McCain in Super Tuesday’s biggest race. AP is reporting this morning that the candidates also led the race for delegates Tuesday, with Clinton at 584 and McCain at 570. A total of 1,023 delegates were up for grabs in 21 states.
The pair also lead the overall delegate count so far: Clinton has 845 delegates with 2,025 delegates required to claim the Democratic nomination in Denver at this summer’s convention. McCain is leading GOP candidates with 613 delegates. It takes 1,191 to win the nomination at this summer’s GOP convention in St. Paul, Minn.
