The Rockets could get more than 43 wins or they also could less? That's crazy. That's some extensive reporting. I heard that Durant could win the scoring title but that he also could not win the scoring title.

If you think Dictator Stern is giong to let the Lakers miss the playoffs, you're kidding yourself. I guarantee he will guarantee they get in 1 way or the other. He won't miss out on all that Lakers money. If it comes down to 1 or 2 games, the refs WILL get the Lakers into the playoffs. TRUST ME.

[...] Berry Tramel on potential playoff opponents: “LA Lakers: Don’t count out the Lakers just yet. The Rockets, in eighth, are on pace to win 43 games. It’s possible they boost that up. It’s also possible they don’t. Forty-four wins might get the Lakers into the playoffs. To get to 44 wins, the Lakers need to go 25-13 the rest of the way. That’s possible. Not likely, but possible. Basically, play at about the success level as Memphis and the Knickerbockers have this season. Good news: The Thunder was built to beat the Lakers. Bad news: If the Lakers go 25-13 to reach the playoffs, they will enter with a load of confidence. History: The Thunder routed the Lakers twice before losing 105-96 Sunday. OKC went 6-2 vs. the Lakers last season, counting a five-game playoff series victory.” [...]

Totally agree with Nash. Right now Brooks is toying or experimenting with Jackson and Liggins to continue to improve their d. The chippiness between Ibaka and KD reflects this emphsis, and in a 7 game series two things prevail: in the last few minutes defense against the best players and two or even more offensive threats who can get their shots off in the last few seconds of a possession. Right now the Thunder are following the identical path that the Bulls did when they finally won their first.

Heat and Lebron are nothin compare to OKC and the young talents ~ maturing and transforming into superstarslike magic and jordan. Theres a game approachin valentine game, very reccomended you watch it see how it goes. 100% SURE OKC will tear heat apart and Lebron will want to go back to cleveland where he belongs. OKC young talents now got used to refs calls and they mastered that too. So be patience and make sure you watch the game.

Isn't this sort of an academic exercise? The Thunder could lose to anyone, but stand a great chance of returning to the NBA Finals again as long as they stay healthy. The real question is "how are they going to stop Lebron?". Not the Heat. Not D-Wade or Bosh or Ray Allen....just Lebron. As long as he (James) can simply lower his shoulder and bullrush his way to the basket there isn't much question about what will happen. He seems to do this pretty regularly against the Thunder, and especially when our boys are trying to get a run going. He can basically score at will this way, since the defender, now on their heels, basically acts as a human shield for help defense as well. Perhaps more emphasis on zone defense? A quick web search reveals that noone really guards him effectively one-on-one. IMO, we can survive our lapses into iso-offense, and we can withstand at least one of big 3 not showing up for a game, but until we address the King Conundrum, we will lose to the Heat more than half of the time.
