I am glad to read all these posting here and have an insight from both sides. True there are stengths and weaknesses from Brooks, Westbrook and Curry. The only common denominator here is Westbrook and Brooks, that being, the point guard is the extension of the coach while the game is played, right. So to blame the point guard is in hindsight, but the actual truth is, was the point guard told to shoot, even if he misses or ignore the open players and still shoot it? That is the question that everyone is interested in. If he was not told to do so, it becomes the point guard’s problem and the coach for not following his instruction. Now if it were the other way around, it is the coach that should be blame for ignoring a better shot selection to open shooters and holing the ball too long, that set ups the other team defense.

Hope this helps to determine if Brooks needs to change his style or Westbrook needs some counseling!

Don't think Brooks can promise a championship this year for the Thunder because of the relapses in teamwork between the guard/small forward and the power forward/center. There is simply no coordination between player and so with their coach!

The Thunder was outscored by Stephen Curry because his guard wasn’t able to stop him. It also showed that Westbrook was not a factor in this game with his offense at [3-16] with 10 points as he was guarded by Curry. If Curry cannot guard Westbrook as some here are saying, why was he missing his shots?

It also exposed that the Thunder big players aren’t used to get the ball inside as shown when Durant and Westbrook gave them the ball inside and the bigs just wasn’t expecting the ball because they thought Westbrook and Durant were shooting it and they were going after the rebound.

Lastly, the Thunder should wake up now that everybody should be involved in scoring, rebounding and assists because more teams now are getting better and have more balance in their players. The Thunder could be upset in the first round by any of these teams, the coaches and players should be more reasonble in thinking that they are not yet that good!

The coaches were to blame for the miscues that happened between the coordination of the point guard, point forward and the center, power forward. That means more practice on it and there should be more outside-inside plays that Brooks should initiate. It should not be always Durant to carry the team by himself, even if he is effcient shooter.

The Warriors were more balance in shooting, with David Lee [6'9"] 22 points/12 rebounds and Carl Landry [6'9"] 20 points and Klay Thompson [6'7"] 19 points and the shooting of Curry 31 points, with only $3.9 million salary. They were still without Andrew Bogut their center who can also light up the scoring and rebounding column.

You can say anything good about Brooks because he led the Thunder to the finals, but his coaching style is very dependent on how Durant plays. He isn't really a good coach, but a mediocre one. The very good ones are those who for one way instills discipline to his players; say like a Phil Jackson, Greg Popovich or Rick Carlisle. They put those players in their proper place and say what they mean.

If for one reason, you don't follow their instruction, you are going to the bench. If you don't beleve me, look at DeJuan Blair, he has been sitting on the bench for a long time and not seeing minutes. So does Phil Jackson and Rick Carlisle, who threaten to suspend players who want to do their own way and not follow instruction or play their best.

These above mentioned coaches also give new or rookie players a chance to show their skills in games to substitute the starting five. So it is a give and take proposition between coaches and players, not a one sided thing.

Are you kidding, this guy is a liability. If we had a good coach we would already have had a championship. A monkey could coach OKC the way Durant is playing right now.

How about Erik Spoelstra, his team is in the lead in the east and you did not mention him? I believe his team will end up in the finals again because he has the best player in the NBA right now!

Now as far as the west Vinny Del Negro, Mark Jackson and Lionel Hollins all are up there with the best!
