George Karl was coach of the Seattle Supersonics for 7 years [1992-1998] and went to the finals in 1996 but was beaten by Michael Jordan's Bulls. He had Shawn Kemp and Gary Patton when he was coach and ha very good memories then. He still maybe thinks the Thunder is still the Supersonics which is a good team to beat and has done so. He is a thinking and experimenting ooach that can outwit anybody from Phil Jackson to Jerry Sloan to now Scott Brooks!

To me,George Karl is always one of the best coachs in the NBA from year to year.It seems like every year he has at least two new players and loses a couple, but by the end of the year they're consistently playing good basketball and they make it to the post season.I think it was the series clenching game the year before last and Coach Karl had missed quite a bit of the season recovering from an illness(cancer I think). If memory serves,we had the lead and they were making a run and we called a time out.As his team is coming to the bench he came out on the court about halfway and glared around at the crowd with fire in his eyes.I remember thinking,if anyone was wondering if the illness had diminished any of his competitive edge, the answer to that question is a resounding NO. I also agree about Andre Miller. The guy actually makes me cringe when he comes into the game.He does't score many points but man,can he carve up defense. It's like he can sense indecision and quickly attack it.
