This year the SEC isn't what it has been the last 4 or 5 years. Look at the bowls so far. The great Florida defense go torched by a decent but not great Louisville team. LSU looked like a poor ACC team against a fair Clemson team. South Carolina should have been beaten by a not very good Michigan team. Nebraska played Georgia close for 3 quarters after having been blown out by a poor Wisconsin team. If Johnny Football had played in the Big XII he would have been another good QB in a league of good QBs. But since he had a great year against the SUPERMEN of SEC defenses he must be the greatest player ever. So far the SEC defenses haven't looked all that great against non-SEC offenses. OU really needs this win. The offense should be able to put up at least 50 but it is the defense that will need to keep Texas A&M below 50. The defense didn't look so good against another freshman QB who can run and throw when they played ND. The SEC has come down a little in quality this year, but it will take 2-3 before the perception of superiority changes. Too bad it isn't Ohio State and Notre Dame in the Championship Game instead of another SEC team. I hate ND but I hate the SEC more.
