I know you are old Berry, but why you keep ‘forgetting’ Colorado, a team that gave OU more than a few problems over the years and without question the most beautiful campus in the Old Big XII is a little disconcerting. Would stop pointing out just how bad your memory and/or football acumen is.

Plight of University of Colorado is also related to the fact that while in the Big 12, they recruited in the Texas-Oklahoma prep recruiting pool. Much more difficult to bring a sizable number of recruits from southern California. Most interesting development from Big 12 downsizing was the ascendancy of TCU and Baylor. If that continues, it would mean realignment should be as (if not more) concerned with protection of recruiting pools (Texas-Oklahoma, southern California, Florida) than the present strength, or lack thereof, of an individual program. Based upon this view, if Big 12 continues expansion discussion, Florida State and an additional school from that state (Central or South Florida) should be considered. Added benefit would be at least one tie-in to the Florida bowls.

With the passage of legal pot in Colorado, I’d say CU is MUCH more culturally aligned with the Pacific 12 Conference.
