I’ve never really liked the corporate naming rights thing, even though I understand the reason behind it. But take the former Ford Center turned Chesapeake Energy Arena. If we’re going to stick with corporate names, why not the Jim Thorpe Chesapeake Center? Or even the Chesapeake Energy Jim Thorpe Arena?

I mean hey, the guy is Oklahoma’s greatest athlete, and we have so blasted little recognition of him around here. It seems like our top sports venue would be a good place to change that.

I like the old LA colors and unimforms much better than their current ones. Maybe the Rams and Cardinals should trade. Not franchises but names and colors. St. Louis should be the Cardinals.
