‘xcuse me but how do you reason Leach was fired for “non-football” reasons?

sounds to me like a head FB coaching locking a kid in a closet in the hot sun during practice is most definitely a football related reason….

About a year ago, Tubs’ wife ran a red light and injured an 80-something-year-old man who died a few months later after never really recovering from his injuries.

I think that they both wanted to get out of Lubbock.

Tuberville was a BORE. He may have been an adequate coach for some. I remember Leach saying before he was fired that the team that he had coming back the next year would be his best ever. Tubs went 8-5 with that team. I’m kinda glad he’s gone. There’s more to the story than we know, obviously. Git ‘cher Guns UP!

Who wants to live in Lubbock?Leach was perfect fit there snd was great coach,Tubs was not a great coach and it showed this year,he is now where he belongs.
Ought to go beg Leach to come back,fan base would come back immediately and then the money would come .

I think that Skip Holtz would be a good fit for Texas Tech. He did a great job at East Carolina. South Florida was just not his cup of tea. Texas Tech has a proud winning traditon so I am sure that they will get back on track.

Is the TT problem in the AD’s office or the football offices? To me, it seems to be an AD problem.

The BobEE Knight issue along with the Pat knight head coach in waiting experiment followed by a tainted BCG hire that blew up before it ever got of the ground.

Leach was never liked – despite exciting foolball and winning. Tuberville, defensive coach was never really accepted and I donl’t beleive ever had his heart in TT, it was just a paycheck.

TT athletics is about as scrubby as the mesquite “forst” of wess TX. Exactly what they deserve.

Tommy Tuberville likes to go in when the chips are down, which enables him to be a hero if he turns things around (ole miss, auburn). The expectations were too high at Tech already. He couldn’t take the heat, so he bolted. His character has always been suspect, and he confirmed his lack of integrity with this move.
