I love the idiots on here defending Stoops because they don’t “get” the point. The Point of the article was the fact that he’s contradicting himself year to year, which is what Bob “Spin” Stoops does… He’s not a bad guy, but just isn’t consistently communicating the same thing, year to year. He says what’s best for his team this year. I wouldn’t expect anything different from a football coach, but if he’s gonna do it, he should expect to be called out on it – good job Trammel!

Two more things: 1.) suck it, Pokes! Your whining just elicits laughter from us. Complaining about us celebrating? Whose fan base rushed the field in 2011 after the Bedlam game and trashed-talked Sooner players???? Win the next 3 in a row? Your team has NEVER done that before, and it won’t start anytime soon. Losers. You’ll be descending back to average once TX gets rid of Mack Brown next year and the Longhorns get their act together.
2.) All of you who complain about the co-championship: go argue w/ the rulebook and the 2012 Big XII trophy that it now possesses in its trophy case. Let’s see, that’s OU – 8, Okie Lite – 1. Should we count national titles next?

Oh, give me a break!!! Bob Stoops is NOT a hypocrite. He’s not claiming his team is better than K-State. In fact, Stoops is the model of consistency. Every year he says the same thing, “Just tell me what rules you want to play by, and let’s play by those.” He said it in 2008 when Mack was lobbying to change the rules in mid-season, in 2010 when A&M went whining, and even last year. Stoops has said that the teams knows who’s best. You don’t see Sooner players going around declaring themselves better than K-State do you?

As far as I am concerned a tie is like kissing your sister…yuch… KState beat OU fair and square…KState is the true Big 12 Champion. I got used to it so should Bob and the rest.

Let them celebrate. They are the same fans who sent me to the hospital when Abbe Dagle beat them in Norman though they were going to the orange bowl and we OSU fans got pelted with frozen oranges.

Glad they are going to the Cotton Bowl now is the time for them to show up and win a bowl game. No more Boise States, Miamis etc who “SNUCK” up on the sooners. LOL

And to the OSU fans who complain about OU celebrating a victory on it own field…the third victory after playing 2 high flying offenses…BU and WVU… grow up…rational Sooner fans knew after the first game of the season this year’s team would struggle…they saw through the media hype. By mid-season with all of the injuries, suspensions, etc. most Sooners knew that Novemeber could be a very bumpy ride. The OSU victory was Senior Day, the last home game, a thrilling exciting victory that put a capstone on the month of November…the first November in a while that OU actually won all of its games and had a chance to finish the season strong after dying on Oct. 27. It did so at TCU. Sooners celebrated that victory, too. THEY EARNED THE RIGHT and so did all fans who stuck with them. What are you guys smoking?

Stoops is captain of the ship…he runs it…not the media or the fans…..when put on the defensive, like an old defensive player he is aggressive….which doesn’t make him a media favorite. He will defend his program and his players (as long as they stay within the rules of his program) as long as he is the coach. That is just who he is…he knows where the leaks in the ship are…he just doesn’t feel he needs to allow the media to take a leak and turn it into a flood. He is a leader and let’s the media attack him all they want while protecting his program. It does not make him very endearing to the press or some fans. Some coaches handle those instances that make him seem arrogant and repugnant with humor, others with crying in their towel….like Mack. He certainly is not Bobby Knight…he just controls his program…would a little humor help? Probably. But if you are looking for that go to SNL for your coach. He is Bob Stoops not Bob Newhart.

The problem is with Bob Stoops. If you watch his press conferences or before and after half time interviews, he never gives anybody credit for anything. “We allowed this, they made a one handed catch,and a million other excuses. He is worse than a basketball coach how he is on the referees from the very start of the game. He and is brother are running up and down screaming. He tries to demean people who ask him a question he doesn’t want to answer. Gundy hasn’t been my favorite in some things but he will at least either state he doesn’t comment on certain questions or try to answer questions politely. I think he learned after the famous,”I’m Forty.” Watch the two coach’s press conferences and see who seem irritated. Stoops needs some people skills.
