Believe Gundy will take the Tennessee position, if reports are correct it has been offered. The events of the last few days have been much to open to the public and media for repairs to be made with the OSU fan base and its Athletic Director. (Gundy will not get control of scheduling.) Look for Todd Monken to be a likely candidate for replacement as Head Coach. Conceivably, this was one of the underlying causes of the fracture of the relationship.

Looks to me like Gundy is willing to settle for a mediocre program… Stoops blows the big games and Gundy blows the little ones. Gundy has a mental block when it comes to Oklahoma and Texas. We should have beat both of them this year.. Loss’ to Arizona and Baylor show he can’t get the team ready for the smaller games either and now he wants more of them… He has the talent and the facilities but 8-4 is not a top caliber program..

Let’s be even clearer. It would appear that Holder has the support of T. Boone Pickens. Nothing moves in Stillwater without the benefit of that financial support. If you want to go back to the days of the “Rustoleum Stadium”, just continue with this logic. Gundy can, and most likely will, be replaced. OSU can not advance in its attempt to elevate the program without a more rigorous non-conference schedule. And that includes competition at neutral sites.

Let me be more clear. Coach Gundy has won more football games than Mr Holder. Holder was a great golf coach, but golf is not football. They are both headstrong and don’t see eye to eye on how to win a National Championship in football. Holder wants to schedule non conference games that will make more money that are away from home, but put OSU at risk of losing, Gundy wants more home games that are easier to win. Gundy wants to reward the fans at Boone Pickens Stadium with more home games and get ready for the Big 12 Conference schedule that is the toughest in the BCS and have a better chance of winning a NC. Can you blame him? If the two can’t reach a compromise, then maybe it’s time to find a replacement for Mr Holder. It’s easier to find an AD than a winning Coach.
