Is Oklahoma the only school that has fans that travel to their home games. Are they the only ones that might have to miss work to attend a Thursday evening game. Get of you high horse and be like everybody else that gets forced to play. If the schools want to share in all the money that comes with the TV contracts, then they have to share in the discomfort that comes with it. Oklahoma included.

don’t think Stoops, or even Joe C. have a final say in the Thursday games. If the Big 12 tells them to have the game Thursday, they’ll have the game Thursday, whether they like it or not.

An explanation why OU is so averse to hosting non-Saturday games is in order by the writer. I believe the reason is the OU-Texas game. Since OU loses its biggest game every year to Dallas, and therefore a huge economic loss every-other year when the game would otherwise have been played in Norman, that the local economy needs to maximize every remaining home game for economic purposes. Which means Saturday games only. I think this plays a factor.

Thursday night games are for programs that need more of the spot light. OU doesn’t fall into that category. So not only no, but heck no.

No to Thursday nights….got to think about the fans and now far they travel. A Thursday night games means for most traveling Sooners outside the state of Oklahoma to take 2 days off work!
