Tramel is an astute sports writer w great insights on games & this is coming from former Cowboy player.
Do not agree however that OU is 8.5 point favorite in game,should be OU-2 or -3 OU at best.
These teams are dead even on talent and it will come down to turnovers,the team that turns over ball less wins game.

How many years did Mikey get at the helm in Tuscon to get into the hunt in the PAC 12? 5? 6? How many winning season did ‘Zona’ post under bro Stoops? Seems to me, although I am no expert, that Arizone had a longstanding reputation as a Defense oriented team, ordinarily winning by keeping the opponent in single digits rather than putting up big numbers. My point is that Holgy is in his second season in Morantown for crying out lousd and you’re trying to suggest that he may be feeling some heat? He already put up a bigger accomplishiment, albeit in the so-called “Big East”, than Mike did in his yeats in Tuscon. I don’t recall you ever suggesting he should have been fired for his utter failure to make Arizona relevant? Your full of it and your anti-OSU bias in all areas has never been more obious. This BS on Holgy is a great example. You don’t have a clue what goes on in Stillwater, much less Morgantown, which you know practically nothing about! Secondly you have been blatantly and pathetically underestimating the Cowboys all year and showing through your ignorance of the Pokes team this year that you’re either lazy as hell or just plain stupid. Most insightful comment by BT is that Holgorsen was a one trick pony – “He was immersed in offense, and in his own system and his own coaching, more than most coordinators”.

He’s never really been a football coach – only a one dimensional offense schemer.

A head coach who is the offensive coordinator is not very good at one or the other or both. OSU is a much better team since Gundy gave up calling plays and became a full time head coach. The head coach needs to be a controller of the game on both sides of the ball but not be an in the weeds type. Hire someone to call the plays and let the head coach run the team.
