I sent ESPN/ABC an email letting them know exactly what I thought about their commentators during the OU/Iowa St game. Its bad when you can’t enjoy watching a football game because of the negative commentating.

I dunno man . . . seems pretty effective to me. The holding call against ND was unfortunate, but we didn’t really even need that block. For a Notre Dame defense that doesn’t give up running touchdowns, I saw Bell stroll into the end zone untouched on that play. Before the Belldozer, we couldn’t buy a running touchdown. After it was first introduced, nobody could lay a hand on Bell. He would just prance into the end zone, pump his fist, done.

Ed didnt even recognize the belldozer. When ou first went to it he questioned why they were in shotgun passing formation when it was short yardage. After an awkward pause, the play by play guy tried to cover for him & mentioned the belldozer.

Unless one is listening to the “home” analysts on radio, there is nothing more upsetting than an obviously biased
TV analyst. At least some of the talking “heads” on ESPN, though biased, admit they are biased. Boomer Sooner.

The Sooners should pass more out of the Belldozer. It’d make it more effective. Who cares what Ed Cunningham says?

ABC/ESPN sports should be ashamed to have Ed Cunningham as a color analyst for another college football game for the rest of this season! Unless, and I stress unless, Ed Cunningham was just following orders. Berry Tramel should haved blogged about his analysis of the whole game and not leaving it at the Belldozer comments. Maybe the producer of this telecast was having Mr. Cunningham set the stage for another academy award winning production.

There was more bias on this telecast than of any other game I have seen so far this year. At the beginning, it became apparent that ABC/ESPN wanted this game to end up in an upset. After the opening, the game quickly turned into the Jake Knott show. Mercy, I couldn’t believe how many times we saw Knott on the sidelines, or during pregame, or how we heard him miked up for the game! We sure didnt see Jake Knott that much during the second half! Lord have mercy! The producer of this telecast was sure hoping for the upset…maybe he wanted to win another academy award for Mr. Cunningham!

I have to go against Berry Tramel on this one, and hope for goodness sake that Mr. Ed Cunningham is not in the TV analyst booth for any future OU games!
