Got to have some offensive changes after this year. A little research turned up these stats...

Through the ND game Stoops has lost 36 games.
In 20 of those 36 games OU's offense failed to score 21 points...usually against formidable defenses. So in 77% of the games Stoops has lost, his offense has under performed. Most folks would agree that if a team can put up 21+ points they have a chance to win the game with a decent defense. In 2001, in 2 of OU's wins, the offense scored fewer than 14 points...we won because we had a great defense...count the 2000 NC game as another. OU has won very few tight games since 2001 when it's offense has not produced 21+ points. Most of Stoops' remaining losses are competitive. The offense was good enough to win, but the defense was not good enough. That accounts for 23% of Stoops' losses.

Bottom line...with the present style offense we better have an Alabama style defense if we are ever going to win another NC. JUst think about the offenses OU has produced under White and Bradford! Not good enough, unless you have a smothering defense.

Change has to happen or soon we won't be wining big 12 titles either as teams beef up the defenses in the league to stop dink and dunk.
