Where’s the question? You have a guy who can be a viable backup at the 3 or the 4, and could probably swing the 5 if Brooks wants to go up-tempo or small. The guy will rebound, score, play solid perimeter defense and toss a few opponent’s shots into the 3rd row. He can’t play the point, and he is not, at this time, a viable option to defend a bruiser in the low post. He can do everything else though. What to do? Trade some guys (to be read: Cook) and get either a legitimate sniper (which Cook is not) or some draft picks.

Keep him and play him. I’m still not sold on Cook as a 3-pt. shooter. He makes about 1 in 68 and that’s not good enough.
