(68-76)we had a lot of college coaches stop by recruiting our players. Many times some of them would not visit with anyone but Coach McBroom or Coach Stephenson. AS Ray Goldsby said,he never talked down to us. I remember one time He and Bobby Proctor even stepped outside the field house and had a chew of tobacco and BS’d while waiting for Coach McBroom to come in. there were some of those head coaches that would not even give us the time of day.
Not only is he a Great Coach he is a People Person and a Winner! Our birthdays are 1 year and 1 day apart.
