Yes, it is OU..but there is more parity in football than ever. Last year was only un-successful because the losses were to teams OU should have beaten…of course, one can only wonder if Dom/Ryan had stayed healthy…but then it is football and those things happen…Even the Crimson Tide does not win the NC every year…and in my opinion…having been beaten AT HOME should not have been given another chance…be thankful for the prestige and class Our Sooners bring every year! Landry is a good QB and probably a B+ is about right. Defensive tackle position is good for the Big XII but no where near SEC quality, probably a B or B-. Cornerback is also good for the Big XII but not SEC caliber, again a B or B-, remember OSU and Baylor games? I would rate Gabe Ikard as probably an A- center. OU this year is probably a B or B- team. That is probably good enough to win a very down Big XII. Even with TCU and WVU coming in the Big XII is not that strong this year.

He gets a B+ on a good day. That’s not an indictment of Landry, just reality. B+ means “very good” whereas A means “excellent” or “great.” Sam Bradford, Jason White, and Josh Heupel were excellent. Landry is very good.

Same thing with the cornerback position. LSU’s defense gets an A or A+ at cornerback. OU deserves no better than B, even on a good day.

This is one of the problems in hiring relatives. The other major reason is even if it doesn’t work out you can’t fire them. This is why the state (including universities) should have anti-nepotism laws.
