El Paso is touting a murder rate of “only” 18 so far this year. Meanwhile just across the fence Juarez is bragging about a “greatly reduced crime rate” evidenced by “only” 73 murders in the month of May.

So I have to wonder why Bob Stoops (or any Head Coach) would allow their people to visit this hell hole.

My greatest hope is that UTEP Coach Mike Price wll somehow pick up a few coaching tips from Bob Stoops. Price’s assistants just need to wake him up every few minutes.
Well, at least the Sooners will feel safe from tornadoes at the Sun Bowl. UTEP rarely experiences touchdowns there.

I will be at the game on Saturday. It’s moments like this that I would like that saying, “On any given day day, any team can beat another”! And as unlikely as that is to happen this weekend, one can only hope right? I know that more than likely OU will walk out of here with merely a scratch on their freshly painted helmets. But all I can only hope for is that Utep doesn’t get absolutley smeared. I think that a respectable loss will lead to good things for our Miners this season. I hope at least.
