Don, before blaming WVU for a weak schedule you should realize that the Big 12 could have been facing the very same scenario if not for WVU and TCU becoming members. WVU fans are tired of hearing this same disrespect repeated by every doubter since conference realignment started. Bruce, we could care less whether you like us or not. We’re here. Get used to it. We’re loud and we’re proud. If you really want your Aggie rivals back, become a Gator.

Doug and Jason, you both seem to have reading comprehension problems. At no point does Don write that WVU “can’t hang with the Big 12″ (Doug) or does he “pile on the hate”. He simply stated that going from the Big East to Big 12 will be a significant schedule upgrade and that he thinks they won’t be as good as people are forecasting. That means that he doesn’t see them as the best or 2nd best team in the conference as most have picked.

If you are a representative sampling of the average Mountaineer fan I think I would rather have Texas Aggie fan back and their eternal chip on the shoulder.

I am an OU fan. But I think WVU wins the Big XII. They play a so so Texas team in Austin and they get OU at home. If OU played Maud Middle School away I would put money on MMS. If they played Texas at home and OU in Norman I would pick OU. But, that could all change with injuries. WVU has a very good first 22 (especially the first 11 on offense) but I am not convinced they have the depth to sustain injuries that happen to most teams through the season. They win the BIG XII IF they stay injury free.
