Walt, one of the things wrong with that argument is that the current athletes are always the ones to suffer when there are NCAA penalties. Look at USC and their penalties. Penn State’s aren’t any different, though I would say they should be able to transfer w/o any restrictions on eligibility to play. They just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Barry, I don’t think putting the “death” penalty on Penn State is the right punishment. Everyone associated with the incedent is either dead or fired or going to jail. I don’t think punishing the team is right. There has to be another way of punishing Penn State without hurting it’s athletes who had nothing to do with the problem.
They kids affected are going to sue the University as they well should.

Great piece on Dez yesterday. I had no idea he had such a rough life growing up. So thankful for Coach Gundy and OSU for sheltering him. I hope he gets his head on straight and can enjoy his career potential.
