I think harden is a really good player at his age they should extend his contract.. I’m sure the owners are thinking twice now of how much they OVERPAID Westbrook should of saved up some money to pay harden and ibaka

If the owners have the money then spend it. With all the publicity, ect. I don’t see the team losing much.

The way I understand it Durant can’t restructure his contract because he has the Max years already set ….. not sure how it works but got something to do with the lockout legal jargon. But the way I look at it money don’t matter sometimes u gotta pay to keep ur players and that’s all the thunder gotta do pay the players what there worth if they don’t want that and want more go find that elsewhere if they stay pay the luxery tax and that’ll be it because trust me thunder wont be the only contender over the salary cap we just gotta pay to play

It is a soft cap, so I don’t see the problem. The team lost millions every year in seattle, now they are making money.

I’m completely with ya Rumbleneedsaraise. Make it work. And the $$$ shouldn’t be an issue to these guys here in OKC anyway with the cost of living being rediculously low. These guys are living in homes at a fraction of the price of most other cities. And I mean major bucks being saved here! It’s up to the leaders of the team to help management help the team and their vision. Do it!

If this is a “family”, and this team is dedicated to winning, long term, and potentially building a dynasty, then show me the money. Let’s see the big boys (KD and Westbrook) step up to the plate and voluntarily restructure their contracts down 3 or 4 million a year to free up enough space to not only keep this team together, but allow for the possible acquisition of a mid-level free-agent and also to set the example for the rest of the team to follow. Harden and Maynor seemed to have hinted at taking a little less then they know they could get elsewhere, so let’s see the big boys pony up. They will more than make up for it in endorsement deals on the side, and they will still make enough to ensure that when their playing days are done neither they, their kids or their grandkids will ever have to work a day in their lives (unless they make bad investments….always a caveat there).
