I was in Bridgetown, Barbados in December 2010 and saw a guy walking around town in a Thunder shirt. I ran over and told the guy I was from Oklahoma City as well. He looked at me with this puzzled look and told me in his heavily Caribbean-accented English that he was from Barbados--he just liked our team. Definitely good publicity for OKC!

My son and I were in Kenya on a church mission effort the past couple of weeks with others from Oklahoma City. We got up at 5:30 a.m. to watch the final minutes of the games through Skype (my wife and daughter arranged the computer so we could see).

We took lots of Thunder t-shirts because we had heard that the Lakers and the Mavericks were popular there (it is on the coast of the Indian Ocean. We have helped give Kenya a does of Thunder fever! I have a great picture of my son on safari in Kenya wearing his Thunder Shirt and one of the members of the Board of the Mombasa Educational Institute, a group working to train church leaders, provide an education to children and a vocational school. Would love to send them to you if your are interested!

We had been telling them about the dunking power of Serge Ibaka - so they decided to imitate him for the picture.

On our way back to the States, my son wore a Thunder shirt and was stopped in London several times by people who are excited about the Thunder. They are fast becoming an international story!
