With the lines drawn in the SEC and B1G about the makeup of the BCS it is possible there won't be any BCS in a couple of years. That makes scheduling even more important. It also means everyone will want to be in one of the Big 4 conferences. With the winner of the Sugar Bowl being national champion most years the B1G will have to schedule tough teams to gain credibility for the winner of the Rose Bowl to be considered. Everyone else will be left out no matter how tough their non conference schedule.

Again a conference that shames the Big XII. Without the alliance with the PAC 12 the B1G would still look better than the Big XII. Playing Notre Dame three times and defending champion Alabama is better than the Big XII, but this is more of a usual Big XII type schedule. This is a transition year for the Big XII with losing two teams and picking up two others kind of threw some of the scheduling off. So, I am not really sure what this proves other than keeping fan interest in the off season.
