Willie, state fans need to realize they had 1 great season with 2 key players that have now left for the NFL. OSU fans’ focus should not be on focusing on what ‘they believe’ OU fans concerns are.

Yes, Todd Monken was right about what was wrong, but wrong about what was right.

OU fans and coach’s need to be more concerned about winning in Norman and respecting Monken for his statement, and less about showing their ignorance. It was a valid comment, even made off the cuff. OU better hope LJ improves from last year or those comments will come back to haunt.

From my observations of Landry Jones, losing Ryan Broyles didn’t cause him to lose any confidence. There are times when he gets jittery when pressured (against OSU) and times when he never gets flustered (against Texas Tech). He just needs more consistency and more protection. That being said, we’re gonna eat him alive in Norman this year. GO POKES!

For the record, Monken was attempting to make an anology about what can happen to any team, including OSU, when your best player gets injured. Unfortunately, the most resent example just happened to be OU with Broyles going down and L. jones being stuck with inexperienced receivers and it cost OU a couple of games. Once he realized he had hurt the feelings of the OU players, he apologized. End of story…..except in this case OU lost to little brother OSU this year and now OU will attempt to use this analogy to defeat OSU next year in Bedlam….

I have never known a fan base to complain more than OSU. You guys had a fantastic year, no one is denying it, celebrate that! Quit whining because you didn’t get voted into the NCG, everyone knew it wasn’t going to happen after one year. The BCS is entirely too political. Quit whining because your coach got called out. It’s childish to go after a single player on a team, especially one right across the road. Everyone here can agree that if any one of the Sooner coaches had made a personal jab at any of the returning OSU players you would be in an equal uproar – whether they were truthful or not.
And please get over your two first round draft picks. OU had seven total this year, one of the three highest for any school. Most of whom I’m willing to bet many of you Poke fans haven’t heard of. That’s the difference in OU and OSU.
