You&#039;re playing along with the farce to characterize Cassius Clay&#039;s name change to Muhammad Ali as a religious-motivated. Historians are trained to &quot;cut through the crap&quot; and document reality.  Everybody knows Clay converted (&quot;discovered?&quot;) his religion to avoid being drafted to serve his country in Vietnam.  The liberal media&#039;s worship of Ali is sickening.  Revisionism at its worst.
